This week it is time for one of the most prestigious events in the world: CHIO Aachen.
On Tuesday 16th of July, the world’s top riders take to the impressive main stadium in Aachen where the second Major of the year in the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping – the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen – will take place on Sunday 21st of July. Widely acknowledged as one of the most demanding competitions in the world, the Rolex Grand Prix at CHIO Aachen is the Grand Prix against which all others are measured.
Live contender in the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping is Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), who won the first Major of the year at The Dutch Masters in Den Bosch, Netherlands. He will be joined by last year's Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen-winner Maruc Ehning (GER), who is joined by strong compatriots such as Simone Blum (GER), Daniel Deusser (GER) and Christian Ahlmann (GER). Guest in Aachen include big names such as Eric Lamaze (CAN), Kevin Staut (FRA), Scott Brash (GBR), Darragh Kenny (IRL), Steve Guerdat (SUI), Peder Fredricson (SWE), McLain Ward (USA), Beezie Madden (USA) and many, many more of the world's very best.
For the Nations Cup, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and USA will be fielding teams.
