If any victory is easy, this looked like an easy win for Henrik von Eckermann and the experienced mare Gotha FRH (Goldfever x Prestige Pilot). With the finishing time of 68,88 seconds the Swedish rider was 2,44 seconds faster than runner-up Maurice Tebbel and nine-year-old Camilla PJ (Calme x Picard).
The 1.45- class counted only 13 riders and several of them on quite inexperienced horses. Seven riders were double clear, but most of them went for safe rounds to school their horses.
Third place went to Olivier Philippaerts with H&M Gitania VG (Cicero Z x Chellano Z), fourth place to Paul Estermann with Bareina (Valentino DDH x Clinton) and fifth to the talented German rider, Laura Klaphake, who is a part of IJRC' and Rolex' 2016 Young Riders Academy. Klaphake rode the 11-year-old mare, Catch Me If You Can 21 (Catoki x Acordplus).
