Richard Vogel (GER) and the 10-year-old Phenyo van het Keysersbos (Corydon van T&L x Heartbreaker) topped Saturday’s CSI5* 1.50m presented by ADEC in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
With a time of 24.75 seconds in a jump-off of 14, the current world number eight bested a field of 27 horse-and-rider combinations in this competition counting for the Longines Rankings Group C. Cian O’Connor (IRL) and Gengis Kann de Londe (Kannan x Diamant de Semilly) took the runner-up spot in 26.42, followed by Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR) and Baccarat Meniljean (Diamant de Semilly x Dollar du Murier) in third in 26.74, Ali Hamad Al Kirbi (UAE) on Jarlin de Torres (Jarnac x Calvaro F.C.) in fourth in 28.03 and Trevor Been (IRL) aboard Luidam’s Warrior (Lucian Elite x Warrior) in fifth in 29.12.
The second CSI5* class of the day, a 1.45m presented by ADSC – counting for the Longines RankingsGgroup D – went to Shady Ghrayeb (SYR) and Cabernet de Mars (Baloubet du Rouet x Dollar Dela Pierre) in 36.95 ahead of Claudia Moore (GBR) on Hardesther (Kannan x Cardento) in second in 39.43 and Nadia Abdul Aziz Taryam (UAE) aboard Gabrielle Sol’Heure (Diamant de Semilly x Narcos II) in third in 40.17.
