Pius Schwizer - here on Quidam du Vivier - is in the lead after the first part of the final in Lyon. The Swiss rider was clear and fastest of all on Friday. On Saturday he rides Toulago. All photos (c) Jenny Abrahamsson.
Right behind follows Patrice Delaveau and Lacrimoso HDC.
Ludger Beerbaum and Chaman ended third after taking an early lead.
Nino des Buissonnets looked incredible under Steve Guerdat - the pair is fourth on the overall standing.
What a couple! Abdelkebir Ouaddar and Quickly de Kreisker had the fastest time of the day, but with a pole down.
The most beautiful round of the day nr. 1 - courtesy of Daniel Deusser and Cornet D'Amour. Just beautiful. Currently the pair is nr. six on the overall standing.
A superb round from Maikel van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Verdi NOP put them in rank 7th ahead of Saturday's second round.
Still going strong! In rank eight is Billy Twomey - riding Tinka's Serenade, by now 17 years old. The pair was clear and fast in Friday's first leg.
Christian Ahlmann is rank nine after producing a quick and clear round on Aragon Z on the first day of the final.
