Germany's Jörne Sprehe went out on top in the CSI3* FEI World Cup in Olomouc, Czech Republic, this weekend.

German course designer Olaf Petersen had build a difficult track for the riders and horses, where the time allowed also proved to play an important part. In the end only four couples finished the course without faults, heading in to the jump-off.

The 2015-winner Maximilian Schmidt on Chacon 2 (Chacco-Blue x Aventyno) opened up with another clear round and a time of 43,71 seconds. The German rider was followed by the Polish couple Michal Kazmierczak and Que Pasa 5 (Quite Easy I x Voltaire), that also produced another clear but crossing the finish line one second behind.

German lady rider Jörne Sprehe and Luna 1509 (L’Avian x Leader M) showed everybody how to do it as next to go, when they brought the time down to 41,91 seconds to take over the lead and when last-to-go Ferenc Szentirmai and Chaccland (Chacco-Blue x x Carthago) had the first fence down Sprehe could start her celebrations.

"The course was really difficult, but my mare Luna jumped perfectly,“ smiled Jörne Sprehe after her win.
