At Longines CSI Ascona, Saturday's CSI5* 1.50/1.55m class presented AXIM Project Management Lugano saw a home rider on top as Romain Duguet on the 10-year-old mare Twentytwo des Biches (Mylord Carthago x Kalor du Bocage) went to the top.

The Longines Ranking class counted 33 riders, and twelve moved on to the second round against the clock. There it was Duguet that was the fastest, stopping the clock on 38.70 seconds. Following in runner-up position was in-form Gudrun Patteet (BEL) riding Sea Coast Ferly (Calato x Darco) to a time of 39.16 seconds. Wilm Vermeir (BEL), another rider who has showed good form over the last month, finished third on Iq van het Steentje (Toulon x Kannan) with a time of 39.45 seconds. Luca Maria Moneta (ITA) ended fourth, and Alberto Zorzi (ITA) fifth.

The 1.50m class against the clock, also counting for the Longines Ranking, presented by Centri Porsche Ticino was won by speed demon Harold Boisset (FRA) riding the 10-year-old mare T'Obetty du Domaine (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Diams du Grasset). The French rider clocked the winning time of 57.27 seconds, which was nearly two seconds faster than Wilm Vermeir on Hacienda d'Eversem (Contact van de Heffinck x Sheyenne de Baugy). Douglas Lindelöw (SWE) and Zacramento finished third (Cardento x Cortus), close behind Vermeir.
