British young riders take team gold at the European Championships

It was the British riders that stepped it up to take the gold medal as the young riders team competition came to an end Friday evening in Samorin.

Jake Saywell with Havinia van de Roshoeve (Cicero Z x Lacantus), Emily Moffitt with Hilfiger van de Olmenhoeve (Dulf van den Bisschop x Querlybet Hero), Amy Inglis with Wishes (Guidam x Wellington) and Millien Allen with Balou Star (Balou du Rouet Z x Quick Star) made it to the top of the podium after ending the two 1.50 rounds on nine penalties, picking up only one time fault from the second round.

The silver medal went to Belgium with a total of eleven faults from the team consisting of Zoe Conter with Zeta di Sabuci (Kannan x Robin Z II), Laura Mathy with Penta (Perigueux x Natiello), Gilles Thomas with Indiana VH Kapelhof (Chatman x Pinkus) and Boy-Adrian Van Gelderen with Be Cool (Vanoverbeek x U2 van de Mespel).

Italy secured the bronze medal with 21 faults. In the team was Michele Previtali with Lagerfeld (Lancer III x Pierot II), Tommaso Gerardi with Venusz (Charisma II x Dengeleg), Matias Alvaro with Tempo des Brieres (Corland x Quat'sous) and Guido Franchi with Lucaine (Lenardo x Salamander).
