Steve Guerdat (SUI) won Saturday evening's 1.55m ‘Prize of GEZE GmbH’ at the CSI5*-W Stuttgart German Masters.

Riding the 9-year-old Venard de Cerisy (Open Up Semilly x Djalisco du Guet), Guerdat was one of nine riders that managed to pull off clears in both rounds and with his time of 38.08 seconds in round two the Swiss Olympic Champion was almost one second faster than runner-up Christian Kukuk (GER) with Lacasino (Lordanos x Cassini I). Third place went to Jos Verlooy (BEL) with his new ride Oaks Redwood (Asb Conquistador x Verdi), while Pieter Devos (BEL) followed in fourth with Jade vd Bisschop (Ogano Sitte x Grannus) and Elisabeth Meyer (GER) with Monodie H (Carthago Z x Zeus) in fifth.

Earlier in the day there was a 1.45m speed and handiness competition with costumes in front of an ecstatic crowd and the class was won by Felix Hassmann (GER) with SL Brazonado (SL Baluarte x Silvestre). Andreas Kreuzer (GER) took the runner-up position riding Easy Blue (Chacco-Blue x Landeur) and was followed by Billy Twomey (IRL) with Ardcolum Duke (Gypsy Duke x Clover Hill) in third.
