Pius Schwizer (SUI) made sure the crowds in Geneva got another home win in Saturday's 1.55m Coupe de Genève, when piloting About A Dream (Clinton x Indoctro) to victory.
The first round consisted of six obstacles and thirteen efforts, as it only was the first fence that was not a combination. Fourteen out of the 39 horse-and-rider combinations in the class cleared the course and qualified to the jump-off, which turned into a real race against the clock.
Schwizer ended the shortened track in 32.12 seconds, pushing former leader Darragh Kenny (IRL) with Cassini Z (Cassini II x Capone) down to second with the time of 32.96. Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) with J’Adore van het Schaeck (Vagabond de la Pomme x Darco) finished third after clocking the time of 33.21 seconds.
Christian Ahlmann (GER) with Clintrexo Z (Clintissimo Z x Rex Z) ended fourth ahead of Nadja Peter Steiner (SUI) with Saura de Fondcombe (Balou du Rouet x Paladin Des Ifs).
