Belgium's Niels Bruynseels has announced the sale of his successful mare Cas de Liberté (Cracky Z x Chellano Z).

Together, Bruynseels and the 12-year-old mare won the CSI5* Grand Prix at the Brussels Stephex Masters (2016), the CSIO4* Grand Prix of Linz (2017) as well as the CSI4* Grand Prix of Liege (2015). They also represented Belgium at the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2017 and at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon this year.

In an emotional text published on his Facebook page, Bruynseels writes:

"Today a very beautiful era has come to an end. The horse that started my top career will make a new rider happy from today on. Thanks to Cas de Liberté, I did not only learn a lot, but I also experienced many wonderful moments.

She came to us as an 8-year-old and already won the CSI3* Grand Prix of Kapellen six months later, followed by the CSI4* Grand Prix of Liège. As a 9-year-old she made her debut in the World Cup of Mechelen, where she immediately finished second. And that's not all.

She won the CSI5* GP of Brussels, the CSI4* GP of Linz, became Horse of the Year 2016, jumped numerous clear rounds for the Belgian team and helped our country to victory in the Nations Cup of Rotterdam this year. In addition, thanks to Cas, I was able to go to the European Championships in Gothenburg and the WEG in Tryon. Two events that have made me better and wiser as an athlete.

Via this way I would like to thank not only the owners for their trust in us, but also our entire team that made all of this possible. I wish a lot of fun, luck and happiness to the new owners. Thanks Cas!"
