Maikel van der Vleuten kicked off CSI5*-W Jumping Amsterdam in the best possible way when taking a home win in Friday night's 1.50m RAI Amsterdam Prize. 

Van der Vleuten was one of thirteen riders moving on to the jump-off, where he recorded the fastest time aboard Dana Blue (Mr. Blue x Hemmingway) – stopping the timers on 35 seconds. Only 0.10 seconds behind followed Italy's Michael Cristofoletti on Belony (Balou du Rouet x Raphael), while Jur Vrieling on VDL Glasgow vh Merelsnest N.O.P. (Nabab de Reve x Darco) and Angelique Hoorn on Brego R'n B (Namelus R x Gerlinus) secured two more Dutch riders within the top five taking third and fourth place respectively. Fifth place went to Belgium's Pieter Devos on Claire Z (Clearway x Coronado). 

Earlier in the afternoon, Switzerland's Pius Schwizer won the 1.45m De Telegraaf Prize with Cina Donna Awr (Chacco-Blue x Lombard).
