In the last week leading up to the Longines FEI World Cup Final, WoSJ catch up with some of the world’s best riders as they head for Gothenburg. Eve Jobs (USA), only 20-years-old, will be one of the youngest competitors in this prestigious competition and here she fills us in on how it feels to be going to the World Cup Final for the very first time.
Which horse will you be riding in the final?
“I’m bringing both Venue d’Fees des Hazalles and Limbridge to the final.
I actually got to jump them at the CSI3* show in Braunschweig to prepare indoors and now I am just doing some flat work in the days preceding. They both feel great and ready to go.”
Who do you think will win?
“I’m really excited to see Beezie Madden, Henrik von Eckermann, Daniel Deusser, and Martin Fuchs, but with so many talented horse-and-rider combinations set to compete it’s too hard to say who will win!”
How special is it to compete in the Longines FEI World Cup Final?
“It’s very special, especially being my first championship. It will definitely will be a great experience! It was a big goal of mine just to get here so everything else is extra.”
