In the last week leading up to the Longines FEI World Cup Final, WoSJ catch up with some of the world’s best riders as they head for Gothenburg. With only one more day to go, Max Kühner (AUT) fills us in.

Which horse will you be riding in the final?

“I will be riding Chardonnay in the World Cup Final, and Alfa Jordan in the Grand Prix.

Chardonnay had a little rest, and started up again before ‘s-Hertogenbosch. There he did some small rounds.”

Who do you think will win?

“This time I think there are many strong couples for the podium. Of course, we will also be fit for it!”

How special is it to compete in the Longines FEI World Cup Final?

“Gothenburg is always a great place to be. Especially because of the Swedish audience. They really seem to be very enthusiastic about our wonderful sport and cheer a lot for us riders.”
