As last to go in a 17 horse-and-rider jump-off, Robert Whitaker (GBR) and Catwalk IV (Colman x Corleone) took the victory in Thursday evening’s CSI5* 1.50m class at Gothenburg Horse Show.

The 1.50m class presented by Agria counted 35 pairs on the start list, and half of them cleared the course. Whitaker crossed the finish line in 35.02 seconds and was followed by home-rider Douglas Lindelöw (SWE) with Cheldon (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) in 35.47 seconds.

Pius Schwizer (SUI) needed just a little bit longer to reach the finish line when he stopped the clock at 35.65 seconds to finish third riding Chidame Z (Chippendale Z x Quidam de Revel). Fourth place went to Julien Anquetin (FRA) with Gravity Of Greenhill (Nabab de Reve x Conterno-Grande) and fifth place to Gerco Schröder (NED) with Glock’s Zaranza (Karandasj x Heartbreaker).

Earlier in the day, Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) took the top honours in the 1.45m class presented by Hööks. Riding Icarus (Douglas x Sioux de Baugy), Modolo Zanotelli was 0,8 seconds faster than runner-up Olivier Philippaerts (BEL) with Cataleya 3 (Cachas x Cassini II). Third place went to Peder Fredricson (SWE) with H&M Crusader Ice (Cabachon x Corland) followed by Abdel Said (EGY) with Freestyle (Caretino 2 x Stakkato) and Emma Emanuelsson (SWE) with Joyful (Careful x Turban Rose).
