Laurent Goffinet’s former top horse Flipper d’Elle (Double Espoir x Jalisco B) has passed away at the age of 27. For years, Goffinet and Flipper d’Elle contributed on the French team. In 2005, the pair competed at the European Championships in San Patrignano while in 2006 they jumped at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen. During their career, Goffinet and Flipper d’Elle recorded international Grand Prix wins at venues such as Auvers, Bremen, Chantilly, Deauville, Franconville, Fontainebleau, La Courneuve and St Lô – as well as helping France to Nations Cup wins in Dublin, Gijon, St. Gallen and Rotterdam.

Flipper d'Elle has several offspring that are jumping internationally, such as Steve Guerdat’s Uranie de Belcour and Gerco Schröder’s Glock’s Prince de Vaux.

On his Facebook profile, Laurent Goffinet writes: ”It is with great emotion that I announce that Flipper has left for the great champions' paradise. I made him a promise to be there until the end, he fell asleep peacefully in my arms this afternoon. Goodbye little crack, I will miss you my flipouille.”

Our thoughts go out to Goffinet and all those close to Flipper d'Elle.
