Butler and Skrzyczynski tie for the win in Thursday’s CSIO5* 1.50m in Sopot

It was a tie for the win in Thursday's CSIO5* 1.50m Prize of Saur Neptun Gdańsk under patronage of Świat Koni in Sopot, Poland, with home hero Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski on Jerico (Wieland x Ever for Pleasure) and Alexander Butler (IRL) on Pico (Chekhov PZK x Carrolls Flight) on top – both with a time of 64.92 seconds. 

French rider Julien Anquetin followed as third placed with Z Ice Cube Z (Zacharov TN x Casco), a second behind the winners in this Grand Prix qualifier – also counting for the world ranking – while fourth place went to his compatriot Kevin Staut with Bulgarie d'Engandou (Vargas de Ste Hermelle x Calvaro F.C.). Belgium’s Nicola Philippaerts ended fifth with Moya vd Bisschop (Darco x Utrillo Van De Heffinck). 

In the CSIO5* 1.45m Prize of Hipodrom Sopot under patronage of Radio Gdańsk, Maurice Tebbel brought the win home for Germany with Chacco's Son (Chacco-Blue x Falkenhof's Lancer) after stopping the clock at 30.37 seconds in phase two of the competition. Great Britain's Harry Charles finished as runner-up with Valkiry de Zance (Diamant de Semilly x Double Espoir) in a time of 30.62 while third place went to Czech rider Kamil Papousek (Clinton I x Escudo I) in 31.16 seconds.
