After a long and successful career, HH Conrad (Con Air 7 x Locato, breeder Pferdezucht Witt) has returned to his former rider Gregory Wathelet – that he became European Vice Champion with in 2015.

At the age of 16, HH Conrad will now dedicate himself to breeding activities.

With Wathelet in the saddle, Conrad had huge success. Next to becoming European Vice Champions in Aachen in 2015, the two won the CSI5* Grand Prix of Chantilly and they were also on the winning Belgian team in the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona that same year. In 2014, they were part of the Belgian team at the World Equestrian Games in Caen.

In 2016, Conrad was sold to Double H Farm and Quentin Judge took over the reins on the stallion. The two also enjoyed plenty of success together, with podium finishes all the way up to CSI5* level. Conrad did his last international appearances earlier this year, in Wellington, with Caitlin Creel in the saddle.

“HH Conrad has been an amazing horse in the competition arena for his entire career for every rider that has been lucky enough to ride him, including myself,” Judge comments to World of Showjumping. “He has begun to prove himself as an exciting breeding stallion as each year we have seen more and more horses by HH Conrad showing up in the top levels of the sport.

We have always stayed in close contact with Gregory about Conrad and are happy to see him back in his old home. We are excited about the future and are working in collaboration with Gregory and the Groupe France Elevage to see what HH Conrad can continue to contribute to the sport thru his offspring."
