Saturday’s final competition of the CSIO3*-W Longines EEF Series Semi Final in Budapest was the 1.45m presented by Regale Energy, where the best could qualify for Sunday's Grand Prix. From 44 pairs competing, fourteen, including four Hungarians, qualified for the jump-off.
The German domination continued from Friday's Nations Cup, as Sophie Hinners (GER) with Galanda Mara TH (Lexicon x Animo) and Jana Wargers (GER) with Chacco’s Lady (Chacco-Blue x Indoctro) stopped the clock on the exact same time – 40.27 seconds – in the jump-off, to share the win.
Edouard Schmitz (SUI) took the third place with a time of 40.72 seconds, riding Quno (Quo Vados I x Cashandcarry), followed by another German in fourth – Philipp Schulze Topphoff with Clemens de la Lande (Comme Il Faut x For Pleasure). Fifth went to the hosts, and Tamas Mraz on BN Silver (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x breeding unknown).
