Coming fresh from two victories at Hubside Jumping Grimaud, Great Britain's Holly Smith continued her winning streak when she kicked off CSIO Barcelona with taking the top honours in Friday's 1.45m Negrita Cup. Aboard the 11-year-old gelding Fruselli (Zambesi x Karandasj), Smith was the fastest in this class counting for the Longines Ranking when stopping the clock at 59.02 seconds.

Not too far behind followed USA's Lillie Keenan and the wonderful 10-year-old stallion Agana van het Gerendal Z (Aganix du Seigneur x Topas), who crossed the finish line in 60.43 seconds. Third place went to Keenan's compatriot Spencer Smith on Ayade Hero Z (Aganix du Seigneur x HH Radco), in a time of 60.49 seconds. Brazil's Pedro Veniss ended fourth with Balada de Colores (Baloubet du Rouet x Couleur-Rubin), while fifth went to French rider Penelope Leprevost with Texas (Tornesh x Robin Z).
