Classic Edition Classic Edition (Cancara x Casall)

The Holsteiner stallion grading and elite riding horse auction, a special highlight on the equine calendar of events, is held in Neumünster on 28-30 October. And, at last, again in the way most loved by the friends of the Holsteiner horse: with packed stands, a genetically diverse and high-quality age group presented for stallion grading and the hand-picked riding horses on offer in the elite auction sale.

The lot ranges from three-year-old uncut diamond to five-year-old ready-to-compete jumper and caters to all demands. Horses aspiring to a career in the dressage arena same as future eventing cracks have also made it into the round 45 strong selection: Like for example hip no 102, Bentley by Barcley-Acobat II. This appealing chestnut gelding has already been placed to 1.10m level and is a half-brother to Michael Jung’s fischerWild Wave, winner of team silver and individual fourth at the recent European eventing championships. Or hip no 105, Castino by Casall-Cantus: his dam’s produce includes Easy Fly (by C-Indoctro), a show jumper knocked down at the 2018 elite riding horse auction and now successfully shown in 1.40m classes. Hip no 107, Champagner by Casall-Quo Vados I, same as hip no 111, Codo by Colman-Quidam de Revel, boast exceptional relative performance, as both horses’ direct dam lines have produced several 1.60m show jumpers. Moreover, Codo has chalked up several wins and placings to 1.30m and also qualified for the national championship this year.

Hip no 131, the 2021 Holsteiner reserve champion mare, Ludina BB by Cascadello I-Chicago Z presents a highly interesting option for stud and sport. The daughter of a showjumping mare placed to 1.50m herself completed performance testing on top of her age group this year. Monsieur Million is the name of hip no 134 by Million Dollar-Connor; the produce of his second dam also includes the inimitable Zeremonie (Laura Kraut).

Many illustrious careers have started at the Holsteiner auction, as shown for example once again at this year’s national championship, where Lillet by Livello-Calido I took eventing gold with Andreas Dibowski (GER). She had changed hands at Neumünster in 2020. Another example from the top level of international sport is the newly crowned double European eventing champion, JL Dublin by Diarado-Canto: having made history with Nicola Wilson (GBR), he also had his first big day at a Holsteiner elite auction sale some years ago.

Pedigrees, photos and video material of the elite riding horses as well as the stallion candidates are already available for online viewing on holsteiner.auction. Get the first live impression of the elite candidates on Sunday, 10 October from 2.00pm with their first public presentation at Elmshorn live streamed via ClipMyHorse.tv. Upon prior arrangement, the horses can be tried out any time. During the Neumünster event, visitors are treated to another presentation on Friday evening (29 October) with the auction sales starting on Saturday, 30 October at 11.00am.
