Christian Ahlmann holds on to his lead in the Longines FEI World Cup Western European League, as the 9th leg of the 2015/2016 season came to a conclusion today in Leipzig. The German rider has collected a total of 77 points, and has secured himself a spot in the final in Gothenburg which takes place in March.
Rank two is France's Simon Delestre on 61 points, who also should be ready for the final as it usually takes about 40 points and upwards to make it. With two legs remaining, Netherland's Harrie Smolders is rank three with 51 points while rank four is his EuroHorse colleague Jos Verlooy from Belgium on 50 points. France's Penelope Leprevost is rank five on 45 points, and should also be more or less ready for the final.
