In the last week leading up to the Longines FEI World Cup Final, WoSJ catch up with some of the world’s best riders as they head for Gothenburg. Next out is 2011 World Cup Champion Christian Ahlmann (GER), who comes to Sweden in top form and with the horse he won the World Cup of Mechelen on back in December.

Which horse will you be riding in the final?

“Clintrexo will jump the final. He jumped his last show in Den Bosch. He did well there so I want to keep him fresh, and will jump him one or two times at home to keep him in the rhythm.”

Who do you think will win?

“Henrik will win!”

How special is it to compete in the Longines FEI World Cup Final?

“For many years the Longines FEI World Cup Final has been my main goal for the indoor season, even if there are more and more top shows with huge prize money.”
