In the last week leading up to the Longines FEI World Cup Final, WoSJ catch up with some of the world’s best riders as they head for Gothenburg. One of the favourites for the title is definitely Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Clooney, who had a tremendous 2018.  

Which horse will you be riding in the final?

“Clooney. I’m also brining The Sinner for the non-World Cup classes.

Clooney had an easy winter and did only four shows during the first three months of this year. We have spent the last ten weeks in Florida, preparing for the final outdoors and in the sun. 

Who do you think will win? 

“Steve Guerdat.”

How special is it to compete in the Longines FEI World Cup Final? 

“I love Gothenburg as a show, but I have never competed there during the final so that’s going to be super exciting! It’s a great crowd and beautiful stadium.”
