Sweden's Henrik von Eckermann – current world number one – and the 10-year-old mare Dzara Dorchival (Qlassic Bois Margot x Raphael, bred by Sebastien Fonck) were in a class of their own in Saturday evening's CSI5*-W 1.50m Sensormatic Trophy in A Coruña, Spain.
With a picture-perfect round in the class counting for Longines Ranking Group C, von Eckermann and Dzara Dorchival stopped the clock on 51.97 – taking the win ahead of France's Julien Epaillard and his 10-year-old Donatello d'Auge (Jarnac x Hello Pierreville, bred by Susana Epaillard) in second in 52.43.
"When I ride good, she jumps good," von Eckermann told World of Showjumping. "Yesterday, I came too close to a vertical and we had a fault there, otherwise she would have been on top yesterday as well. It is a fantastic record she has, being first and third in Madrid and now again winning a class here in A Coruńa. She is an unbelievable horse and I am really thankful to have her. I am lucky that her owner Sebastien Fonck picked me as her rider."
The Swedes came strong in force with Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli and Kendrick 4 (Kannan x Quattro B, bred by Rolf Moormann) placing third in 56.88, followed by Evelina Tovek in fourth aboard Moeboetoe v/d Roshoeve (Der Senaat x Poleander, bred by Roshoeve NV) in 57.46. Italy's Emanuele Camilli and Chacco's Girlstar (Chacco-Blue x Sandro Boy, bred by Gestüt Lewitz/Paul Schockemöhle) finished fifth in 58.51.
