Julien Epaillard is on a winning streak, and on Friday he took the top honours in the CSI5*-W 1.50m Prix FFE Generali Trophée Nouvelle Aquitaine at Jumping International Bordeaux with the 12-year-old mare Queeletta (Quality x Landor S).
Fresh from his Grand Prix victories in Amsterdam and Oliva, the French rider added yet another win to his record when stopping the clocks at 63.61 seconds – beating a field of 40 other riders. Epaillard was in a league of his own, Marlon Zanotelli (BRA) and Icarus (Douglas x Sioux de Baugy) followed in runner-up position two seconds behind. Third place went to Marcus Ehning (GER) and Comme Il Faut (Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro). Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) on Best Boy 2 (Contagio x Sunrise) finished fourth, and Edward Lewy (FRA) on Uno de Cerisy (Open Up Semilly x Siego) fifth.
