After a week filled with top results, Great Britain's own Matthew Sampson was crowned Leading Rider at London International Horse Show 2023.
With a win in the CSI5*-W 1.45m Christmas Pudding Speed Stakes with MGH Candy Girl (Sligo Candy Boy x Cruising), that also took 3rd in the 1.45m Mistletoe Speed Stakes and 4th in the 1.50m Santa Stakes, as well as finishing 2nd in the 1.50m Agria Lifetime Equine Snowflake Stakes and 6th in the 1.60m Longines FEI Jumping World Cup with Ebolensky (Clinton x Heartbreaker), Sampson was awarded as Leading Rider of the Show 2023 with his 51 points. Jur Vrieling followed in second with 45 points, and Max Kühner third with 44 points.
