Philipp Weishaupt (GER) and the 15-year-old gelding Coby (Contagio x Escudo 19) won Friday's CSI4*-W 1.55m FEI Jumping World Cup™ in the Arab League – counting for the Longines Rankings Group A – at the Doha International Equestrian Tour 2025.
In a jump-off counting nine horse-and-rider combinations out of the 35 in the class, Weishaupt stopped the clock on 40.47 seconds to take the victory ahead of Roberto Previtali (ITA) and Esteban de Hus (Cornet Obolensky x Baloubet du Rouet) who crossed the timers in 41.18 seconds. Abdel Saïd (BEL) and Bonne Amie (A Big Boy x Landfriese) completed the podium with a time of 42.31 seconds.
Jeanne Sadran (FRA) and Dexter de Kerglenn (Mylord Carthago HN x Diamant de Semilly) finished fourth with a time of 43.88 seconds, followed by Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER) and Iron Dames Dubai du Cedre (Baloubet du Rouet x Diamant de Semilly) who had to see four faults added to their score after completing the jump-off in 41.70 seconds.
The FEI Jumping World Cup™ Arab League now moves on to Abu Dhabi, UAE, for its next stop as five legs remain in the series ahead of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Basel in April.
