France's former world number one Simon Delestre and the 11-year-old stallion Tinka's Hero Z (Tinka's Boy x Caretino) were unbeatable in Saturday's CSI4*-W 1.50m Prix de Dakhla in Tetouan.
A total of 35 horse-and-rider-combinations lined up for Saturday's 1.50m Winning Round at the first leg of the 2022-edition of Morocco Royal Tour. With a time of 35.67, Delestre took the win ahead of Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano on Crack Balou (Balou du Reventon x Chacco-Blue) in second. "At the moment, Tinka is having a fantastic season," Delestre said in a press release from Morocco Royal Tour. "In Saint-Tropez, he was clear and finished 7th in the Grand Prix, one week earlier he won a 1.55m class in Brussels and he won again today. It's a real pleasure. This is a show where we are always happy to be present: Usually I'm always alone, even when I win, but today everyone is here, the owners, friends... it's cool to be in Tetouan!"
Brazil's Bernardo Cardoso De Resende Alves on Mosito van het Hellehof (Elvis Ter Putte x Nabab de Reve) took the third place, while Switzerland's Elian Baumann on Campari Z (Contact van de Heffinck x Platini M) placed fourth and France's Emeric George on Duo du RU (Vagabond de La Pomme x Argentinus) fifth.
