The popular French rider Roger-Yves Bost broke through for a win in today’s Massimo Dutti Trophy in Hong Kong, a 1.45 speed class. Riding the 11-year-old gelding Record d’Oreal (Cartier v. Heffinck x Quiniou), Bosty recorded a time of 54.87 seconds to snatch the victory - much to the delight of the crowd who have become big fans of the French rider since he first began competing at the Longines Masters of Hong Kong four years ago.
In the Massimo Dutti Trophy, Bosty defeated Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer on Balou Rubin (Balou du Rouet x Couleur-Rubin) that stopped the clock at 55.59 seconds. Schwizer has had an outstanding show so far, but without winning. Last night he placed third in the Longines Speed Challenge behind Ireland’s Bertram Allen and earlier that day he was second in the Airbus Trophy won by British legend John Whitaker.
France’s Simon Delestre finished third in today’s Massimo Dutti Trophy riding Stardust Quinhon (Calvaro Z x Cabdula du Tillard).
