Goresbridge welcomes everyone to the third edition of the Supreme Sale of Showjumpers Ireland to be held 15 November. The auction has previously sold successful horses such as Ard Ginger Pop (Luidam x Cruising) and Talks Cheap (Tinaranas Inspector x Colin Diamond) as well as Dougie Douglas (Ard Vdl Douglas x High Roller) that set a new Irish record for public auction by selling for €1.4 million.

One of the highlights in this year’s collection is the nine-year-old Nickoletta E (Nintender x Calido I). The stunning mare proved her talent already as a young horse and this year she has been consistently placed in International shows under Ireland's Cameron Hanley and Eoin McMahon, including 1.50m classes at the Dublin Horse Show and Wiesbaden. “She will be a horse for the biggest classes, no question,” Cameron Hanley states. “My thought was that next year she would be ready to do some Nations Cups.”

When talking to Hanley about the Goresbridge Sales, he explains that the auction has successfully chosen a different angle. “Goresbridge is a very interesting sale as they offer something different from the big auctions in Europe. If you look at the catalogue, there are some really nice six and seven year-olds as well as some older horses that are winners of World Championships and Regional Championships. Normally the professional auctions have young horses that look great, but they are unproven while many of the horses offered at Goresbridge are proven competitors with a track record. This is a different angle than what we are used to.”

On the question why Goresbridge, Hanley explains the obvious; “Although me and my brother live in Germany we have a strong connection to Ireland. It is a great country to produce young horses and I have several Irish produced horses in my stable, including Cas one of my best ones.”

Veterinary Procedures:

Each horse presented for this sale will have received a full five stage veterinary examination from a member of the Goresbridge Veterinary Panel prior to the sale.

A set of digital X-rays taken by a member of the Goresbridge Panel will be available for purchasers to inspect prior to the sale.

Registration for buyers:

Due to new VAT rates on the purchase of horses in Ireland, it is now necessary for prospective purchasers to register before the sale.

Registration takes only seconds and can be done in the office prior to sale.
