With the successful Holsteiner Verband foal auction sale at Hof Waterkant not long in the past, the next lot is already online for viewing our website www.holsteiner.auction. We are taking about the Elmshorn elite foal auction sale held on 20 August. 74 bright young prospects have found their way into the collection, some of these lots boasting Olympic and wold champion relatives.

A varied mixture of sire greats like for example Diarado, Clarimo, Casall, Diamant de Semilly, Tangelo van de Zuuhthoeve, Cornet Obolensky or Vingino is complemented by very special younger stallions, some of them sport horses on the rise. Kannan-Contendro I son Keaton, recently qualified for the national championship with Lars Bak Andersen, is represented by as much as four interesting offspring. With the world championship in Herning (Denmark) in full swing, for example lot No 40’s pedigree commands attention, as Viarado MW by Vigado-Diarado-Carry comes from the famous mare family 4847 – in this case even the direct dam line of Jerome Guery’s championship partner Quel Homme de Hus, who has taken home medals from European championships and the Olympics and is flying the Belgian flag with realistic hopes for a medal.

A just as interesting recommendation would be lot No 62, Unbelievable by Uriko-Colman-Concerto II from mare family 1916. This stallion prospect’s second dam is no other than Thomas Kleis’ Derby winner Carassina, who has already produced the licensed stallion United Way by Uriko. From another impactful dam line, mare family 749, comes lot No 69, Concano DKG by Corfu de la Vie-Uriko-Franklin. His second dam is also dam to the world champion of the young show jumping horses, Con Cara (Toni Hassmann) by Con Air and the produce of this mare family also includes Jana Wargers‘ former success horse, Afrah.

With the elite auction also aiming to cater to Holsteiner dressage horse enthusiasts, five dressage prospects have made it into the collection as well. They are by Vaderland, Escolar, Fidano (2) and De Chirico. “We are looking forward to an Elmshorn elite foal auction with lots to offer for show jumping same as dressage fans. I’m really grateful to our breeders for consigning numerous top foals of the 2022 age group“, Roland Metz was pleased to say. The first public presentation of the 74 lots on offer is on 20 August at 12:30pm, with the auction starting at 4:00pm. Afterwards, an informal get together will round off the evening and wind down the event.
