For the 8th edition, the team of The Youngsters Auction has put together a collection of 25 talented 3- & 4-year-old showjumpers. On Tuesday 10 October, the live auction will take place at Waaij Stud, The Netherlands and it promises to be a great evening full of entertainment, atmosphere and of course great horses. “We are very pleased with this edition’s collection and are also proud to offer many homebred talents for this auction”, Peter van der Waaij states on behalf of The Youngsters Auction.

On Tuesday 10 October, The Youngsters Auction will be held at Waaij Stud in Eemnes, The Netherlands – only 25 minutes from Amsterdam Airport and one hour from the Belgian and German border. Twenty 3-year-old talents and five 4-year-old showjumpers are presented in this edition’s collection. Bidding will be possible during the live auction on site, but also via the online auction system of ClipMyHorse.TV. 

The Youngsters Auction’s collection consist of multiple exceptional talents and the following are some of the highlights. The 3-year-old mare Extra WS is a Waaij Stud homebred mare by Emerald out of a dam by For Pleasure x Chin Chin. She is not only remarkable for her striking appearance, but also stands out for her jumping ability. “From the very first time she jumped, she was something special. She really is electric on the jump and has lots of scope”, says Jasper van der Waaij about the 3-year-old mare. 

Another striking 3-year-old is the impressive stallion Passo Double (El Barone 111 x Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN). He stands out for his tremendous scope, but also for his balance, reflexes and intelligence. “For Passo Double, jumping comes very easy and natural. He has a remarkable instinct for the fence and his scope seems to be endless”, according to Biba van der Waaij.

Two 3-year-old horses are presented under saddle; one of them is the Oldenburger approved stallion U-Rock van de Heffinck VDH. He is a son of Chacco Blue and goes back to the world-famous Only Picobello Z – dam of Romeo, Check Picobello Z and Clown of Picobello Z. “U-Rock already stood out at the KWPN Stallion Show and earned an invitation for the KWPN Performance Test, so he is not only Oldenburg approved but still has a very good chance to become KWPN approved. U-Rock is a light-footed stallion by the great Chacco Blue out of the mare Josje van de Heffinck, who we sold through our auction to Mexico and does very well there as well. The other 3-year-old under saddle is Patriot – he is a grandson of Kasanova de la Pomme and the resemblance is striking. Patriot has a great balance and outstanding scope”, Peter van der Waaij explains.

For this edition, five highly talented 4-year-old horses were added as well. The lovely mare Coco Legende (Checkter x Cassini II) immediately catches the eye with her textbook technique, while Tias Horta (Mugano van Klapscheut x Parco) stands out for his tremendous push from the floor. Coco Legende was bred out of the family of Dobel’s Cento, while Tias Horta is the half-brother of the famous Erenice Horta and thus the uncle of Irenice Horta. Furthermore, the Zirocco Blue VDL son Zinatino is the second approved stallion in this collection; the 4-year-old Zinatino convinces with his incredible power and high level of carefulness.

The Youngsters Auction will take place on Tuesday 10 October 2023 at Waaij Stud in Eemnes, The Netherlands. VIP tickets are on sale and it promises to be once again a great auction night. For this edition, The Youngsters Auction will be turned into a classical ‘Dutch Pub’ – a guarantee for a fun, exciting evening with music, drinks and great showjumping talents!
