For a second consecutive month, Simon Delestre's ride Chesall Zimequest (Casall x Concerto II) tops the 2016 WBFSH Rolex World Ranking List for breeders of showjumping horses. The 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding is bred Günther Schüder, and heads the May-ranking having collected a total of 1195 points in the period of 1st of October 2015 to 31st of May 2016.
Not too far behind on 1010 points follows McLain Ward's top horse HH Azur (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Sir Lui), a 10-year-old SbS mare bred by Nathalie Beaufort. Rank three is the 10-year-old KWPN gelding Bintang II (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Orlando) seen under Laura Renwick and bred by E.J.M. Bleekman.
Last month's rank two and three are down to rank four and five: Hello Forever (For Pleasure x Nimmerdor), a 10-year-old Oldenburger gelding ridden by Scott Brash that is bred by Stoeterij Ariane and the 12-year-old French-bred stallion Quickly de Kreisker (Diamant de Semilly x Laudanum xx) ridden by Abdelkebir Ouaddar and bred by Guillaume Ansquer.
For the studbooks, the Holsteiner Verband still leads the way on the rankings with Chesall Zimequest, Lintea Tequila (Campbell x Corrado II) and Chiara 222 (Contender x Coronado) as their three best representatives.
New as rank two this month is the BWP, that has Flora de Mariposa (For Pleasure x Powerlight), Elky van het Indohof HDC (Toulon x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) and First Class van Eeckelghem (Balou du Rouet x Feinschintt I van de Richter) as its three best representatives.
