Sweden’s Peder Fredricson has taken over the reins on Mathilda Karlsson’s Olympic partner Chopin VA (Casall x Coriano, bred by Manfred von Allwoerden). Together with Karlsson, who represents Sri Lanka, the now 14-year-old stallion jumped at the Olympic Games in Tokyo back in 2021.
“I’m very happy that Peder wants to compete Chopin now when I can’t,” Karlsson – who is suspended by the FEI until 14th January 2025 due to whereabouts failures under the Anti-Doping Rules of Human Athletes art. 2.4 – says to World of Showjumping. “I asked Peder if he wanted to try Chopin and they had a great start together at Jönköping Horse Show. I hope Peder will like Chopin just as much as I do and that they will have a successful time together.”
