Very sadly, Robert Vos' faithful 18-year-old partner Carat (Cardento x Krevad) has passed away.
Together, Vos and Carat won numerous international classes throughout the years – more recently the CSI3* Grand Prix of Herning, as well as 1.50m classes in Herning, Braunschweig and Neumünster.
On his Facebook page, Vos writes: "Thank You Carat!!! You were the best!!! Had so many great years with you. You always gave everything and deserved a super retirement but you kept on jumping like a superstar, the older the better. I'm grateful that you could show that, even in this last month were you not only won the GP of Herning but also the Championat of Braunschweig were you also became second in the GP, third in the Championat of Dortmund and sixth in the GP of Amsterdam not to mention all your other victories. You will always stay in our memories, RIP CARAT."
To horses.nl, Vos explains that Carat suffered a colic and his life could not be saved.
Our thoughts go out to Robert Vos and his team.
