St-Georg.de reports that Firth of Lorne (For Pleasure x Stakkato) has been sold to the States. The new rider of the 11-year-old stallion will be Leah DeMartini, who trains with Margie Goldstein-Engel.
Firth of Lorne has this year been seen under Germany’s Franz-Josef Dahlmann. Until July 2014, Firth of Lorne was ridden by Katrin Eckermann who had a lot of success with the chestnut stallion – jumping to victory in the 2014 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Hamburg as well as to the top of the podium in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup in Falsterbo the same year before the two unfortunately had a horrible fall at the open water jump during the Grand Prix in Aachen causing them both to be out of action for a longer period of time.
When Firth of Lorne returned to the ring this year, it was under Dahlmann who has been campaigning the horse during the summer.
