The 9-year-old mare Foxy de La Roque (Armitages Boy x Kannan, bred by Top Stallions Company/Sandrine Hecart) has been sold and will in the future be seen with USA’s Karl Cook – team silver medallist from the Olympic Games in Paris with Caracole de La Roque (Zandor Z x Kannan, bred by Top Stallions Company).
With Victor Bettendorf (LUX) in the saddle, the talented mare – who did her five-star debut in April this year – recently won the CSI5* 1.65m Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix in Riyadh (KSA), after also topping the CSI5*-W 1.60m Longines Grand Prix in Lyon (FRA) at the beginning of November, as well as the CSI5* 1.60m LGCT Grand Prix of Rome (ITA) in September and the CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix in La Coruña (ESP) in July.
“It has been a privilege to work with Foxy,” Bettendorf commented to World of Showjumping. “She is an exceptional mare. Karl’s system is close to ours, and I am happy and proud to see Foxy continue her career with him.”
“Eric [Navet] and I are so excited to work with such a stunning mare,” Cook told World of Showjumping. “Victor and Adeline are unbelievable horse people who have produced one of the best horses we have seen in many, many years.”
Foxy de La Roque is expected to jump CHI Geneva in December with Bettendorf, before she leaves Europe to join Cook in the U.S.
