With the arrival of three new horse to his stable – Icarus (Douglas x Sioux de Baugy), Sweet Tricia (Berlin x Tampa) and Virtouse d’Eole (Panama Tame x Helios de la Cour II) – Marlon Modolo Zanotelli will enter 2020 with an even stronger team than before.
Icarus has been reunited with his former rider after being sold to Luciana Diniz earlier this year, while Sweet Tricia moves from Darragh Kenny and Virtouse d’Eole from Charles Luyckx. Zanotelli has already been in the ring with all three horses, at Sentower Park and in Peelbergen.
“Sweet Tricia has performed amazing with Darragh Kenny, it’s going to be hard to follow in his footsteps as he is a fantastic rider,” Zanotelli tells World of Showjumping about the 10-year-old mare. “Virtouse is also a super mare, I really believe in her for the future – I think she can be a top horse for the big sport, although she still needs more experience at the highest level. She has not touched a rail during our two first shows together.”
“Icarus is back in my stable too. He is still owned by Luciana Diniz and her sponsors, and the idea is that he will be campaigned in the big sport until he is sold,” Zanotelli explains. “It’s a horse that I know well, and that I had a great relationship with in the past so I am also looking forward to the future with him.”
