Both Swiss rider Martin Fuchs and French rider Roger-Yves Bost had dramatic falls in Zürich last weekend. While Fuchs broke his nose, Bosty was lucky to escape without injuries.

After winning Friday's Longines Grand Prix, Fuchs opened his Saturday with a fall from his horse Cristo in the Toshiba-Joker competition. "Luckily the fall looked much worse than it really was. Broken nose, but nothing else! Thank you for all the support and all the messages I've received already!" announced Fuchs – Rider of the Year 2016 in Switzerland –on his official Facebook page.

On Sunday, Roger-Yves Bost's Sangria du Coty made a few hearts stop when she chose to jump on one stride instead of two to the middle element of the triple combination during the Longines FEI World Cup. Both horse and rider went to the ground, but luckily walked out uninjured. "Thank you for all your messages of support following our fall in Zürich. More scared than hurt, Sangria does well (...)," wrote Bosty on his official Facebook account.
