The FEI Jumping Rules have been subject to modifications, all of which are effective from January 1, 2020.
The modifications include regulations about ground lines on spread obstacles in the practice arena, various items of saddlery, boot and bandage control as well as rowel spurs and the protocol to be followed in case of a fall. The criteria for achieving the minimum eligibility requirements for the World and Continental Jumping Championships have also been modified.
Furthermore, the new hind boot rule – which will be effective at all international events in 2021 – is now in force at FEI jumping events for U25, young riders, juniors, pony riders, children, amateur owners and veterans, as well as at all FEI World Jumping Challenge Events.
All athletes and members of the equestrian community are strongly advised to keep themselves up to date with the current rules.
