Horse & Hound reports that Scott Brash has announced that Hello Sanctos (Quasimodo vd Molendreef x Nabab de Reve) will not be made available for selection for the 2015 European Championships. Brash says to Horse & Hound that it is “not in the horse’s interest” to put him forward for selection, referring to the fact that the 13 year old gelding has done three major championships already and that he should be given the best chance to compete at the Olympic Games in Rio next year.
Hello Sanctos was a part of the British gold medal winning team at the 2012 Olympic Games and at the 2013 European Championships, as well as taking the individual bronze at the latter.
Brash still has a chance to make it to the team though, considering top performances from the mare Hello M’Lady (Indoctro x Baloubet du Rouet) - that recently won the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Monaco.
