Evelina Tovek has announced the retirement of her 18-year-old gelding Oz de Breve (Dollar Du Murier x Grand Veneur).

Oz de Breve was previously campaigned by Laura Renwick, who rode him to victories in Birmingham, Hardelot, La Cornua, London, Madrid, Maubeuge, Salzburg and Treffen – to mention some. From 2015, Tovek has been his partner and also enjoyed plenty of success with the chestnut.

On her Instagram profile, Tovek writes: "Our „Ozzy“ is with his 18 years in great shape and was supposed to jump another couple shows this spring before his retirement. Due to the actual crises and show stop, my family, Henrik and I decided to wait no longer and say THANK YOU Oz de Breve! I m so grateful that our ways crossed and I couldn’t wished for a better teacher than you! Time flies and you were my partner during the last six years. You still put a smile on our face every day by being this crazy little chestnut that has entered my stable back then. Thank you @laurarenwick for the trust and all my grooms that loved and cared for him the way he deserved. Thanks to my family for the continually support giving me the chance to ride such fantastic horses! It‘s time to give something back to Oz by letting him enjoy his retirement at home in Sweden! He will be badly missed at stables, trainings and shows. But all the best things come once to an end and we say - Happy retirement Oz de Breve."

At World of Showjumping, we wish Oz de Breve a happy retirement!
