Rodrigo Almeida’s RGA Sporthorses has sold the Portuguese rider’s top horses GB Celine (Cardento x Concorde), Jorden van de Kruishoeve (Nabab de Reve x For Pleasure) and Echo’s Son Z (Echo van’t Spieveld x Nabab de Reve).

With Almeida in the saddle, the 14-year-old GB Celine has competed successfully at CSI5* level and last year the two placed 5th in the CSI5* LGCT Grand Prix in Paris. The 13-year-old Jorden van de Kruishoeve also competed at CSI5* level with Almeida, finishing 4th in the Longines FEI World Cup in La Coruna at the end of 2021, while the 11-year-old Echo’s Son Z only spent a few months in Almeida’s stable competing successfully at CSI3* level.

“GB Celine and Jorden van de Kruishoeve were sold last month, while Echo’s Son Z left the stable today,” Almeida explains to World of Showjumping. “Echo is a fantastic horse with a big future ahead. I was counting on having him as a 5* Grand Prix horse this year, but unfortunately I had to take an earlier farewell than I expected. He is a horse with all the potential to jump the biggest classes in the world. I wish Anastasia Nielsen all the best with this fantastic horse.”

“My adventure with GB Celine started 3,5 years ago and already from the beginning we had a really strong connection, and I could always count on her. She has a very special place in my heart, since she was one of the horses that brought me to the biggest classes in the world and gave me many amazing memories and results at 5* level. She will now be ridden by a junior rider from Ireland,” Almeida tells.

“I only had Jorden for three months; at his first 5* show in Oslo last autumn he was clear and placed in all the classes he jumped, went on to win the 2* Grand Prix in Vejer de la Frontera after and finished our time together with a 4th place in the 5* Grand Prix in La Coruna. He is simply winner with a lot of potential for the top sport!” Almeida says.
