After finishing 6th in today's CSI5* Rolex Grand Prix of Geneva, Scott Brash has announced the retirement of his 17-year-old success mare Ursula XII (Ahorn x Papageno).

On his official Instagram page, Brash writes: "Our day has come and what a journey it's been. Another top 6 finish in one of the world's biggest Grand Prix's to round off a career we will never forget. The sport won't be the same without you and I know I certainly won't but it's time to enjoy your well earned retirement old girl. Thank you for the endless memories Ursula."

Together, Brash and Ursula won this year's CSI5* LGCT Grand Prix of Mexico City, the CSI5* Grand Prix of Doha in 2017 not to forget the CSIO5* CN International presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows in 2016 – as well as recording numerous podium finishes in prestigious Grand Prix classes worldwide.

At World of Showjumping, we wish Ursula a happy retirement!
