France's Simon Delestre has taken over as the world's highest ranked rider on the Longines Ranking. The latest world ranking list, released today, sees Delestre pushing Great Britain's Scott Brash down to rank two after a dominance that has lasted for more than two years. Brash has - with the exception of one single month - been on top of the Longines Ranking since the December ranking in 2013. Now, Delestre has managed what Germany's Daniel Deusser did in April last year; to dethrone Brash. Only 23 points separate the two riders.
Kent Farrington (USA) remains as rank three, while his compatriots McLain Ward and Beezie Madden switch places as no. four and eight respectively. Rank five to seven remain unchanged with Penelope Leprevost (FRA), Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Gregory Wathelet (BEL). After Madden follows Bertram Allen who stays put as rank nine while Luciana Diniz (POR) is the new rank ten pushing Daniel Deusser (GER) out of the list.
