Due to the Coronavirus Covid-19, more and more European CSI events are now being run with visitor restrictions. Adding to the list is this weekend’s CSI3* Signal Iduna Cup in Dortmund, Germany that will be strictly regulated to protect against further spread of the virus.
As the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs in North Rhine-Westphalia has issued a decree on March 10, 2020, which prohibits events with more than 1,000 visitors, the show organizer ESCON-Marketing GmbH will limit entries to riders, officials, accredited journalists, influencers and employees. Entry to the grandstands will be limited, and only certain parts will be open.
ESCON-Marketing GmbH follows the model practiced in football with the sport taking place, livestreamed to the public via ClipMyHorse.tv.
The Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Spain is another international event taking precautions and the organisers have closed the venue to the public until further notice. The show is being live streamed on metoliva.com.
