"I am just so happy and incredibly proud of my horse. It was really nice, my parents and friends were here to watch and cheer me on. It was a super day, I am really happy," Gerben Morsink said in a press release from Longines Tops International Arena after winning Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands, with Navarone Z (Nabab de Reve x Amor).

Thirteen horse-and-rider combinations out of the 29 at start cleared the first-round track set by the French Olympic course designer Gregory Bodo to join the deciding jump-off in the class that counted for the Longines Ranking Group B.

Stopping the clock on 35.48 seconds, Morsink and Navarone took the win ahead of Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and Derby de Riverland (Kannan x L'Arc de Triomphe) in second with a time of 36.21. Henk van de Pol (NED) and Captain Norman (Bolero x Pikachu du Muze) took third after clocking a time of 37.39, while Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) and Don Vito (Quaprice Bois Margot x Jus de Pomme) followed in fourth in 37.58. Eduardo Pereira De Menezes (BRA) and Hot N Spicy (Zento x Hamlet) completed the top five with their time of 37.86 seconds.
