The third week of the inaugural Doha Tour 2024 concluded with a CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix win for Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) and Alamo (Ukato x Equador, bred by D. Nanning).
With a time of 39.43 seconds, Alsharbatly took the win in a jump-off of four – topping a total starting field of 18 participants in a class that counted for Longines Ranking Group AA. Santiago Lambre (BRA) and Chacco Blue II (Chacco-Blue x Cincaba Rouge, bred by Gestüt Lewitz) placed second with a time of 40.09, while the third place went to Rikke Belinda Barker (DEN) and Tabalou PS (Taloubet Z x Balou du Rouet, bred by Gestüt Lewitz) in 41.78.
Amber Fuller (AUS) and Nopal Van Tallaert (Diamant de Semilly x Pommeau du Heup, bred by Stephan Declerck) finished fourth after clocking a time of 44.52 in the jump-off, while four faults in the first round left Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Nikolaj de Music (Kannan x Nabab de Reve, bred by Walter Lelie) fifth.
The second Longines Ranking class of the day, a CSI5* 1.50m counting for the Longines Ranking Group D, went to Simon Delestre (FRA) and I Amelusina R 51 (Dexter R x Chin Chin, bred by Stal Roelofs) ahead of Gerfried Puck (AUT) and Equitron Ornaat V (Ut Majeur de Brecey x Landetto, bred by Leo Vermeiren) in second and Jennifer Hochstadter (LIE) aboard Golden Lady (Cassini Gold x San Patrignano Mister) in third.
