Belgium’s Andres Vereecke and the 12-year-old mare Ona van de Begijnakker (Comme Il Faut x Palestro vd Begijnakker) won Thursday’s CSI4* 1.50m at the 2026-edition of Andalucía Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, where the first week of the traditional tour kicked off this week.

With a time of 58.58, the Belgian duo bested a field of 24 horse-and-rider combinations, taking the win ahead of William Rekert (GBR) and Fifty Shades of Grey (Cellestial x Carolus II) in second in 58.76 and Javier Conzalez Fraga (ESP) aboard (Diamant de Semilly x Salamon) in third in 59.83. Sanne Thijssen (NED) and Farah Z (For Pleasure x Nissan Caretano Z) finished fourth with a time of 61.94, followed by Harm Lahde (GER) with Echo van Spalbeek Z (Elvis ter Putte x Cornet’s Stern) in fifth in 63.47.
