José Maria Larocca Jr. (ARG) and the 11-year-old stallion Chris (Contendro I x Argentinus) topped Sunday’s CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix at the 2026-edition of Andalucía Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.
Besting a field of 45 horse-and-rider combinations, Larocca and Chris clocked the winning time of 42.18 seconds in the jump-off of eight. Finn Boerekamp (NED) and Just Penelope Jw van de Moerhoeve (Jenson van’T Meulenhof x Tinka’s Boy) finished second with a time of 43.94, followed by Karin Martinsen (SWE) and Tailormade Concha Balou (Conthargos x Chacco-Blue) in third in 44.94.
Only the top three delivered a double clear result, with Lieven Devos (BEL) on Inca’s Big Think (Think Big van T&L x Lanciano) and Harm Lahde (GER) aboard Oak Grove’s Commander Bond (Comme Il Faut x Lux Z) placing fourth and fifth with four penalties each.
